Unknown Concept
The idea plays on frustration, curiosity and exclusivity. Pre attending the exhibition the public will only have limited access to what is being exhibited and on a need to know bases regarding information. The only way the viewer could get a full spectrum of what the exhibition holds is to actually visit the exhibition in person.
To start off i researched images with possible connotations to the theme at hand, I then compiled the images and saw which could fit the theme.
I started out creating some branding pieces that would allow the lecturers to get an idea of what we had in mind to convey this we were looking at a monochromatic colour scheme.
As for the information being displayed most of it would be blacked out suggesting secrecy, something used in classified documents.
I also wanted to give indication of how we would communicate with the public through social media, to do this I created a mockup for Instagram and Facebook. We wouldn't be displaying full and clear pictures only giving a hint to the viewer of what they might see. Using this same mindset I created posters that could be hung anywhere suggesting that there would be amazing things to see, you just have to visit the exhibition to find out.
To further enhance this we created a website, the header contains a noise GIF. And some annoying ad boxes were created to cover up some of the text which can be closed. Such little things could further boost the annoyance of the campaign and in turn create more talk.
Lastly we wanted to include interactivity in the exhibition so we created an app that would allow us to hide certain features and only be revealed through an app. The app would scan the symbol on the wall, in this case the bar code and revealed.
