Firstly we clarified the essence of our concept, that being that export is the final stage in any design project and in a more philosophical view that we are the export of the school. We are looking to show our audience the result of what our years of hard work has produced and what it has already produced in the past.
Phillip finished the brand guidelines so that we could all work with the same creative direction and reduce unforeseen amendments and changes. We all agreed that the concept would have two faces one which is show to the public via social media and online resources and the other present at the exhibition itself. The online face would include content that is glitched, based on exporting errors designers experience throughout our work. These will be done deliberately to withhold information from the viewer and play on their curiosity. We will release clear information but most of the imagery will remain hidden only to be experienced first hand by the viewer during the exhibition itself. The branding found at the exhibition itself will be more straight forward showing clear elements and coherent designs.
Firstly we split the work amongst ourselves, I was targeting signage/way finding and interactivity specifically so I started off by creating a Pinterest board and filling it with all i deemed relevant to our work and brand guidelines.

Based on the brand guidelines I was looking at elements which where clean simple and minimalist with a difference by including errors. (Pixilated, Blur, Distorted).
Firstly I created a design that would be placed around each door with general information of its contents along with a plaque that will be located at the top so that people can get information from both in front and to the side.
Next I created some wall plaques with simple wording that would tell exhibition goers where the exhibition spaces are located and to which disciplined they fall under this is more of a fail safe if the other forms of signage are not understood though it shouldn't be the case.
I also created some perspective based signage that can only be viewed at a certain angle, this is a play on our brand concept which pulls both brand faces together.
Lastly for signage I created a map which now that i think about it may have been a little over kill. It is not finished but I thought we could use it in some of the mockups.
Next was interactivity. I opted to create an app that would hold exhibition information in general whilst also providing a twist using AR and QR codes.
•Exhibition Information.
•Gallery.
•Blog.
•Schedule.
•Notifications.
•Live Updates.
It will also include interactive features including :
•Interactive Map
•QR Code Reader
•Augmented Reality

The interactive map is a way for the viewer to interact with the map on screen, from anywhere as long as they have an internet connection. The user would be able to navigate manually and also have preset way points which would snap the map automatically.
The AR would require users to traverse the school in search of glitched out posters/murals and other forms of artworks. The aim of this is so that the viewer would have something to do whilst going around the school. It also could be manipulated into a game/competition.
We are also looking to implement QR codes both on and off screen. This will be mostly used to boost the app usage. In this case a the promotion (Poster) is covered in QR code designs and the user would have to scan the face to get information on the speaker and a chance to reserve their seat of the following talk.
I also Created some mockups that could be placed into the presentation. Don't know if they could be useful yet.
